We are a manufacturing chemical company. Our range of products includes disinfectants, fungicides, cleaning agents, metal finishing materials, and materials for accumulators.
History of our company as an independent entity dates back to 1991, when we were detached from Lachema Group. In 1994, our company was privatized and from that time until the end of 2007 its name was BOCHEMIE s.r.o. (Ltd), now BOCHEMIE a.s. (joint-stock company). However, chemical production on the premises of the current company started as early as 1904 and since then it has continued until these days and the current form of Bochemie, which is a continuator of the original chemical plant.

DISINFECTION IN HEALTH CARE AND AGRICULTURE
The Disinfection segment is primarily focused on the production of disinfectants for health care facilities of all kinds, i.e. hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation institutes, etc. The preparations are also suitable for small businesses such as beauty shops, manicure and pedicure. We have preparations for disinfection of areas and surfaces, medical instruments, and hands and skin.
The other area is disinfection in agriculture where our products are applied, in particular, by poultry and livestock breeders, and also in the dairy industry.
We cooperate with humanitarian and charity organizations, we provide supplies of disinfectants for the government purposes of several countries. Our products proved well in managing the consequences of floods in the Czech Republic in the years 1997 and 2001, in managing the consequences of the tsunami in 2004 in Indonesia and Pakistan, during the floods in Vietnam in 2006, at the suppression of the bird flu infection spread in the Czech Republic in 2007, and in many other more or less extensive events.
WOOD PRESERVATION
Our product line BOCHEMIT helps professional builders and do-it-yourselfers with the protection of building timber and masonry against pests and moulds; we have also products preventing blueness of wood and a fire-fighting product preventing burning.
The BOCHEMIT brand takes a significant position on the Czech and Slovak markets and also its export has been developing successfully for several years, particularly to the Baltic states and the countries of the former Soviet Union.
You can find our BOCHEMIT in new buildings, but also in old and historical buildings, where it is used for the reconstruction of roofs and roof trusses. An example may be its application for the roof reconstruction of Hluboká Castle, Lažanský Palace, and Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace in Prague.
CONSUMER GOODS
In the field of consumer goods, we are number one in the Czech market in the segment of household liquid cleaners and WC cleaners.
The traditional product SAVO has been known in Czech and Slovak households since 1973 and it is still popular for the disinfection of drinking water, wells, swimming pools, and also toys etc. The SAVO line has been provided with a new design in the recent years – consumers like its beautiful and glossy labels.
We did not rest on our laurels and thought about what else to offer to our consumers and the result is a line of special chlorine-free cleaners called SAVO GLANC. These agents are modern, scented, in an attractive gel form and in packages facilitating their application – sprays etc. Why don’t you try them?
We also thought of professional cleaning companies and all who need to do cleaning frequently and “in large-scale”: we have SAVO PROFI for them.
SURFACE TREATMENTS OF METALS
The primary role in this segment is played by the pickling technology FEROPUR, for which we have a worldwide patent. In cooperation with the engineering company EKOMOR we are able to supply technological units and the chemical compound FEROPUR, both designed for the world manufacturers of stainless steel wires and rods. Our technology is advanced, ecological and versatile, owing to which it becomes more and more popular with major world manufacturers of long stainless steel products.
Our customers include, for example, the Indian company VIRAJ, Changwon Speciality Steel and Dong Bang Steel from South Korea, Italian company COGNE Aciai Specialli, Talley Metals from the USA, Swedish company Fagersta Stainless, Outokumpu from the United Kingdom, and other companies from Germany, Spain, and the Czech Republic.
MATERIALS FOR ACCUMULATORS
We are a major supplier of components and materials for the manufacturers of NiCd accumulators. We make positive and negative accumulator masses in several types designed for pocket-type accumulators, perforated bands, electrode plates,and nickel hydroxide.
Our customers are companies from Russia, Ukraine, India, Sweden, Germany, South Korea, Hungary, Czech Republic, etc.
Our company is a holder of a quality certificate according to ISO 9001, GMP certificate, CE certificate, and also an award for RESPONSIBLE CARE in chemistry. We try to protect the environment, to reduce emissions of harmful substances, and to improve the company’s security against accidents.
