Cooperation with Universities and Secondary Schools

We are particularly interested to communicate with universities within research and development projects, we actively participate in sociological surveys focused on the orientation of teaching in individual fields of study. We regularly participate in various events such as open days, workshops, Symbiosis, labour markets, etc. organized by individual faculties. These events are always a welcome opportunity for us to introduce our company to students and to discuss the possibilities of cooperation with them.

After an agreement with individual universities, we also make it possible for students, within our possibilities, to perform their professional practice in our plant not only in production, but also in research and development and in administrative positions at various departments such as sales, finance or personnel departments.

Every year several students work out their seminary, term and diploma theses in our company. After mutual discussions, we try to focus these particularly on solving practical problems enabling students to present interesting topics in their theses, the solutions of which will give the company usable output information and solution designs to the examined problems. We try to create the best possible conditions for students and their “examination” and to enable them to have the best access to information so that they have an actual image of their practice and the possibility of practical application of theoretical knowledge.

Naturally, our employees may also be students. Bochemie has it own educational system and within its framework it also supports improving the professional qualification of its employees. The company enables its employees to study at universities and to participate in various types of educational courses.

Apart from universities, we also actively cooperate with secondary schools, especially with those in the Moravian-Silesian Region, where we try to search for various opportunities to support education and useful activities of youth. These activities include, in particular: 

• Secondary Technical Chemical School of Academician Heyrovský in Ostrava –every year we prepare trips for students to our company connected with a discussion with our specialists on the work of chemists.
• Secondary schools in Havířov – we regularly support the chemical Olympiad of secondary school students in Havířov.
• Business Academy Orlová – we cooperate on the LEONARDO project, every year we ensure a professional practice of a student from Germany in our company as part of an exchange of student stays.
• Secondary Gardening School Ostrava – we addressed the school within the project of planting on the premises of our plant and in the surrounding of our company’s head office. Students have designed a project of furnishing suitable areas and open spaces with greenery and within their practice they planted trees and plants by themselves and they keep taking care of them.
