Graduate Programme
In our conception, an assistant-graduate is a university graduate with less than three years’ experience. We are particularly interested in CHEMISTRY graduates, but also in graduates of specializations such as ECONOMICS, MARKETING and FINANCES.
For three years, young chemistry graduates, but also graduates of economic specializations, have been admitted to our company. On the first of January 2007, we started a modified Graduate Programme which is supplemented with new knowledge resulting from our previous experience. We believe that new programme improvements will help Bochemie and admitted applicants show our mutual benefits and find the best positions for them – such positions that will be most suitable for graduates and that, at the same time, will comply with the company’s needs.
In our conception, an ASSISTANT-GRADUATE is a university graduate with less than three years’ experience. An admitted graduate is enrolled in the Graduate Programme, which runs on an annual basis in our company. We expect that the programme will always comprise three CHEMICAL GRADUATES and one graduate of specializations such as ECONOMICS, MARKETING or FINANCES.
After completing the graduate programme, most of chemical assistant-graduates will find their positions in research and development, the other graduates are naturally placed also to other workplaces by their specializations and by the principle of finding the best position.
GRADUATE PROGRAMME Cycle
In the first part of the Graduate Programme, graduates undergo four months’ practice in production. During this period they go through most of our production workplaces where they are acquainted with production technologies and procedures, which they can, or even must try themselves. In the next stage, graduates are at two months’ practice in research, where they participate in specific research projects. This is followed by another two-month period, this time at the Sales Department. The main goal of the practice in trade is for them to get to know the work of sales agents, dealings with customers, solving complaints, etc. The opposite to sales agents’ work is the work at the Purchasing Department. Each of the assistant-graduates has the opportunity to get acquainted with work at the Purchasing Department in the period of the tenth and eleventh months of their Graduate Programme. In the final, twelfth month, assistant-graduates work at their so-called target workplaces, where they will then be properly placed. In the course of the Graduate Programme, each stage is continuously evaluated and an emphasis is placed also on a feedback from graduates and their proposals so that their individual programmes are tailored to them as much as possible.
Apart from the correct placement of each graduate, our innovated programme sets a higher target. It is a better interconnection of individual departments of the firm. The main intention is, in particular, further improvements in communications between departments and a better understanding of connection of work and results of individual departments. Future managers, who undergo the Graduate Programme, should become those who the company relies on.
