Location and foundation

Strategic position of the company's place of business

The town of Bohumin lies in the Moravian-Silesian region, 9 km northeast of Ostrava, and Bochemie has had its headquarters there since its foundation. It is an important railway and highway junction on the Vienna - Warsaw and Prague – Žilina routes, which have always represented a big strategic advantage in the company's history.

Expansion to the Central and Eastern Europe, and to all over the world

Thanks to its location near Poland and Slovakia, our employees are equipped with the language and cultural knowledge of neighbouring countries. This significantly contributed to the fact that the company managed to build a substantial share on the Central European market, especially in the field of disinfectants and fungicides.  The operations of the company have successfully spread to global markets.  In the field of materials for batteries and metal surface finishing, we have been cooperating with Eastern and Western partners for several decades.  And thanks to new environmental projects promoting environmental protection, we have been recently getting recognition on a global scale also in other new areas.

Advantages of the strategic position of the company's place of business:

  • important railway and highway junction
  • access to the Central European market
  • proximity to Poland and Slovakia
  • multilingual company staff
  • cooperation with Eastern and Western partners
  • expansion into global markets
